Updating your Name Server Records

If you registerd your name through ChristianHosting.Com you don't have to do anything, we will make sure your name servers are properly configured. If you are transfering from another provider, or have registered your domain name elesewhere, you need to update your name server records to point to your new home on a ChristianHosting.Com machine.

To update your name servers, you must submit a Name Server (NS) change request to your current registrar. Different registrars handle this differently. Most registrars have an on-line panel to make this change quick and painless. Regardless of the method of transfer you will need the following information:

Domain servers in listed order:
Primary Name Server: ns1.primechoice.com
Secondary Name Server: ns2.primechoice.com

Network Solutions (NetSol) Changes:
Go to: http://www.netsol.com
Click "Account Manager Tab"
Login with account number/username and password.
Under Domains, click on your domain.
Click on "Edit Contacts/Manage DNS" (DO NOT CHANGES NAME SERVERS TO VeriSign)
Scroll down, and click on "Manage NameServers"
Click on "No Thanks" To use Verisign Servers
Enter the primary and secondary name servers and click add.

NetSol makes this very confusing, and many folks stop before getting to the end. Just keep scrolling down, and clicking "Continue" until you see the message below.
Your changes have been submitted. Please allow 24-72 hours for changes to take effect.

Login with account number/username and password.

*NOTE: TuCows uses a large reseller network to market their services. Ocassionally, the reseller will have a multi-layered password protection/login scheme, and your password will NOT be accepted by the manage.opensrs.net panel.
